New Project — Coming Soon

This new project, nearing completion, explores material-led approaches to landscape painting through experimental substrates and layered processes. Works are developed on raw canvas and cradled wood panels, prepared in the studio with beeswax and resin grounds. Oil painting is undertaken en plein air to record light, form, and surface movement within the landscape. Final stages are completed in the studio using encaustic processes, where heat (fusing), layered impasto and mark-making are employed to build depth and texture.

The Weight of a Second, is a collection of eight medium-scale encaustic paintings.
